WOODIEs rooms were designed by sauerbruch hutton architects, specifically for the needs of students. The furniture is made from wood and has thought through details - like a kitchen table that folds out - this way the tenants can fully concentrate on their studies and student life. All thats missing is individual textiles (mattress, bedsheets and towels are brought by the tenant for hygienic reasons).

The all-in-rent does not only include the rent and utilities (water, heat, electricity) but also high-speed internet (Wifi and LAN with around 100 mBit), use of one bicycle stand and the communal areas.

WOODIE is situated in the new centre of Wilhelmsburg, close to the International Architecture Exhibition and the Garden Fair that took place in 2013. A short walk takes you to the next train station in no time, if you prefer bike rides, the bike lane starting at WOODIE is called Gert-Schwämmle-Weg and takes you straight to St. Pauli through the historic tunnel underneath the river Elbe.

Access to public transport is exceptional: The trainride to Hamburgs central station is 8 minutes only, but you also have the possibility to take the ferry directly to Landungsbrücken. Also sporting and leisure possibilities aren’t scarce. WOODIE is surrounded by an island park with water and greens and a new public pool that is said to be Hamburgs most beautiful one.
